Before your travel

back to the support pages

Please test yourself prior to the cfc and do not attend if you test positive or are experiencing symptoms. If you test in a timely manner, your chances of being able to resell your ticket are really good. However, please test yourself not earlier than 1 day before the cfc, so the result remains reliable for the event.

At the cfc itself, neither masks nor tests will be provided. Please bring your own supplies to protect yourself - thank you!

Our program is super diverse, so we want to give you some tips on what to bring along. We'll keep it a bit vague to avoid spoilers until the program is published:

  • Everything you need for a party and/or concert
  • Your favorite pen and books in any language - just make sure they're good!
  • Musical instruments and your favorite headphones
  • Pillows, teas, your comfiest pyjama, and ideally something like a picnic blanket or other really soft and cozy stuff (we have a few, but not enough for 200 people ;-)
  • A towel (I'm being serious, though rather a dish towel ;-)

For individual workshops, you might need other things - check the program for details!

During the cfc there are a couple of large events happening at the same time: Schlagermove, 45Hertz Festival, and on all three days also Ed Sheeran concerts. This means that a lot of hotels, hostels and stuff are already booked up.

If you need some help finding a place to stay, just hit up eventorga@haecksen.org and we'll do our best to hook you up with a spot to sleep!

During the cfc, there are at least three other large events taking place in Hamburg: Schlagermove, 45Hertz Festival, and Ed Sheeran concerts on all three days. Please take these events into account when searching for accommodation (see also bed exchange/Bettenbörse), planning your trip, and considering your travel time. Especially with regards to the Schlagermove, it's also recommended to generally avoid the affected areas.
