Our hybrid offerings connect on-site and remote participants. Hybrid contributions can be made from both on-site and remote locations. You can find more info for speakers below.
The program will be available through BBB rooms, and we'll also have other hybrid offerings like a digital exhibition, live feed, and chat.
You can find the program parts available remotely in the schedule on the right-hand side, from "Brave Ben (BBB)" to "Daring Del (BBB)": https://pretalx.c3voc.de/chaos-feminist-convention-2025/schedule/. More info about the rooms can be found below.
Remote participants also need to buy a ticket, which is available from 0,-€. You can get your ticket here: https://pretix.eu/haecksen/cfc25-remote/
With this ticket, you can participate in all hybrid or remote sessions. More info about your ticket and access can be found below.
Please note that for workshops - just like on site - you need to register separately. Please email us at eventorga@haecksen.org and let us know which workshop you'd like to attend. Participants will be admitted based on the timestamp of their registration. Additional requests will be put on a waiting list. You'll get an update within a day of registering, letting you know if you got a spot or if you're on the waiting list (and what number you are).

We've got brand new rooms for the cfc! These rooms will be hosted on more servers, and sometimes different ones than we're used to.
So that we can flexibly switch to a different server if there are problems, the rooms aren't assigned to specific servers. This means that a talk in "Brave Ben (BBB)" will always take place in "Brave Ben (BBB)", no matter which server it's on.
To make sure you find the right server, it's essential to always open your room through the room list: https://cfc25.anarchohaecksen.org/hybrid-rooms
If you've saved a bookmark for a room, it might take you to the wrong place or an unused room at a different time!
We're also using rooms on servers that work a bit differently than, for example, https://meeten.statt-drosseln.de. We'll provide you with a guide on how to quickly find your way into the room soon.
You can get tickets from 0,-€ here: https://pretix.eu/haecksen/cfc25-remote/
With this ticket, you can participate in all hybrid or remote sessions. When you enter the BBB room, you'll need the ticket code. You can find this code in the PDF file that's sent to you after you've confirmed your purchase:
The ticket code will get you into the room, so please arrive early so you don't miss anything!

Yeah, for workshops - just like on-site - you need to sign up extra, so the workshop leaders don't get more participants than they can handle.

We will provide your contribution through a BBB room, allowing remote participants to connect. On-site, you will have additional moderation support assigned to your contribution. This moderation will handle all technical aspects of the connection and will inform you if remote participants have questions or would like to speak.
This works both ways: even if you present your contribution remotely, the moderation will take care of these aspects for you!
There are a few small differences between talks and readings compared to other, more interactive formats.
In talks, hybrid participation, like for the passive audience on-site, is limited to consuming the contribution.
During the optional Q&A session, the additional moderation will ensure that questions from all participants are given space.FAQ Hybrid (English)
Similar to talks and readings, panels and discussion rounds work the same way, but with a bit more interaction through the moderation.
In workshops, you can also look at the screen during moderation, where remote participants can share their screens, allowing you to "look over the shoulder" of the moderation.
Essentially, the difference between whether a participant is in the room with you or not should be barely noticeable.
If you are presenting your contribution remotely, on-site participants may also connect to the BBB room. The participants are then more or less just randomly in a room, but the workshop functions like any other remote workshop. The moderation will, of course, support you in ensuring that you can guide everyone equally well.
For more unusual workshops, performances, and other formats, individual assessments are usually necessary.
No. Not by us. And not by remote participants either, unless they violate our Code of Conduct, which prohibits recording. While we cannot control this, we do know all participants, as a ticket must be purchased for remote participation.
Please always keep in mind that you accept this risk not only for yourself but also for all other participants.
At cfc our normal Code of Conduct and additional remote participation rules apply to all virtual spaces. When buying a ticket, all participants in virtual spaces had to confirm that they'll respect the Code of Conduct.
Yes, likely at least a little. The concept of your contribution must allow for the inclusion of remote participants. For example, if you plan a collaborative writing session, consider using a digital tool instead of a whiteboard. There are now many open-source tools available for various use cases and solutions for many challenges.
If you have questions or would like support with this, please feel free to contact us via email at eventorga@haecksen.org. We want to enable as many people as possible to participate together with you!
Not everything can be offered in a hybrid format in a meaningful way and with reasonable means. Some formats may have little value for remote participants if important aspects of the contribution cannot be conveyed. This may be the case if a workshop requires a specific room atmosphere or if guiding participants can only be done to a limited extent verbally or visually. Certain technical requirements may also complicate the hybridization of a workshop, such as equipment or latency issues.
If you are unsure whether your contribution can be offered in a hybrid format, please feel free to contact us at eventorga@haecksen.org, and we will look into it together with you!
